SURE FAQ
SURE (Shenandoah University Research Expo) is an annual event featuring students’ research and creative projects.
Current registered undergraduate and graduate students, whose faculty mentors approve their abstracts, are eligible to be considered for inclusion in SURE.
Faculty mentors are professors who agree to guide you through the process of preparing your abstract and presentation for submission. Be sure to reach out to faculty before getting started on your abstract.
We will accept applications from December 1, 2024 until March 7, 2025.
We will notify students of their status on a rolling basis, but no later than two business days after the final deadline.
You will need to prepare either a five-minute presentation or a poster to show on April 29 or April 30. We will provide guidelines on what to include in your presentation or poster and how to present during the event.
SURE 2025 is in a face-to-face format, with options for virtual participation. If you are unable to participate live, contact the SURE committee for guidance about virtual participation.
